Day 1 - Barcelona

Once considered an underdog, this time-worn city now attracts weekend tourists who have transformed it into a vibrant destination. As the second-largest city in France, Marseille is as cosmopolitan now as it was in its historical heyday. The Vieux Port, where Phoenician Greeks arrived in 600 BC, stands as a testament to the city’s thriving past. The port, which has seen legendary sieges and transformations, tells the stories of Marseille’s resilience and enduring importance.

Day 4 - Nice

Nice, France: United with France only since 1860, Nice boasts a history and atmosphere dating back 230,000 years. Colline du Château and the Plage des Ponchettes are significant sites, once homes to Greeks who named the city Nikaia. Over the centuries, the Romans and various other European powers have left their mark here. The city became a hotspot for tourism in the 19th century, attracting the English and Russian nobility, who were captivated by its climate and prime location. The famous Promenade des Anglais, brimming with historical charm, is one of France’s finest crescents. Day 5 - Portofino

Portofino, Italy: Known for its romantic and affluent aura, Portofino has long attracted the rich and famous. Once an ancient Roman colony, the town has seen governance by various European powers and has long been a summer retreat for Europe's wealthiest. Its picturesque harbor and laid-back vibe offer relaxation with scenic cliffside gardens and tempting hikes to nearby villages. Day 6 - Portovenere

Portovenere, Italy: This quintessential Ligurian seaside village, known for its colourful facades and pedestrians-only promenade, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its harbour is adorned with 'terratetto' houses dating back to the 11th century, creating a vibrant and cultural atmosphere. Narrow passageways lead to charming shops and gardens, while Castle Doria offers stunning views from the hill. The medieval Chiesa di San Pietro and Byron’s Cave are among the historical jewels of this beautiful village by the sea.

Day 7 - Livorno

From ancient Rome’s ruins to the treasures of Vatican City, Rome offers endless historical and cultural fascination. Yet, in the midst of all these iconic sites, one might find more pleasure in experiencing the dolce far niente—sitting leisurely at a café or wandering through a charming piazza.
