Day 1 - Philipsburg

Philipsburg, Sint Maarten (Dutch part): The capital of Dutch St. Maarten stretches about a mile along an isthmus between Great Bay and the Salt Pond, featuring five parallel streets. With its narrow, cobblestone Front Street closest to Great Bay, the village is bustling with duty-free shops and several casinos, especially when cruise ships arrive. Steegjes, or little lanes, link Front Street to the less busy Back Street. The boardwalk along the beach is half a mile long, with restaurants and numerous Wi-Fi hotspots.
