Itinerary

Day 1 - Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal: Set on seven hills along the banks of the River Tagus, Lisbon has served as the capital of Portugal since the 13th century. The city is renowned for its grand architecture, historic wooden trams, Moorish influences, and rich history spanning over twenty centuries. Following the catastrophic earthquakes of the 18th century, Lisbon was reborn through the vision of the Marques de Pombal, who crafted an elegant cityscape with broad boulevards and a magnificent riverfront square, Praça do Comércio. The city today is a seamless blend of modern and ancient districts, offering a vibrant mix of shopping, culture, and sightseeing opportunities in the Old Town, which smoothly descends along the city’s terraced hills.

Day 2 - At Sea

A Day at Sea: Enjoy a day of leisure, taking advantage of the amenities offered onboard as you sail towards your next destination.

Day 3 - Cádiz

Cádiz, Spain: Considered the oldest city in the Iberian Peninsula, the Andalusian port of Cádiz boasts a remarkable location on a six-mile promontory, surrounded by the ocean. With a history spanning three millennia, Cádiz is characterized by charming white houses with flower-adorned balconies. While exploring, be sure to wander through the Plaza de España, notable for its large monument celebrating Spain's first constitution signed in 1812. The city offers two idyllic seafront promenades with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, a lush park called Parque Genovés near the sea featuring an open-air theatre and an exotic palm garden. The impressive neo-Classical cathedral, crowned by its golden dome, is also a must-see.

Day 4 - Málaga

Málaga, Spain: As you approach Málaga, the city unveils its picturesque setting along the famed Costa del Sol. To the east, the coast of La Axarquía is dotted with traditional Spanish villages, farmland, and quiet fishing hamlets—a true reflection of rustic rural Spain. Meanwhile, to the west lies a vibrant and bustling cityscape unmistakably representing the lively spirit of the Costa del Sol. Framed by the Penibéetica Mountains, Málaga enjoys a warm climate, shielded from northern winds, enhancing its reputation as a sought-after retreat. Additionally, Málaga serves as a gateway to the enchanting historic villages, towns, and cities of Andalusia.

Day 5 - At Sea

A Day at Sea: Immerse yourself in relaxation or partake in the various activities available aboard as you continue your journey to the next port of call.

Day 6 - Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca, Spain: Located to the north of the cathedral, La Seu—Palma’s symbolic Gothic landmark—lies an intricate maze of narrow alleys forming the city’s oldest settlement. Farther out, a belt of wide boulevards recalls the Moorish fortifications that defended the city during the 12th century. By the late 19th century, much of the walls had disappeared, leaving only Ses Voltes by the seafront as a reminder of the grand defences. Palma is rich with history and alive with culture; noteworthy sites include La Rambla and Passeig d'es Born, which trace the diverted path of an erstwhile torrent. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Parc de la Mar, where you’ll find a vibrant mural by Mallorca resident Joan Miró. The city’s dynamic day and nightlife beckon everyone to explore its streets and enjoy the charm of this beautiful island.

Day 7 - Valencia

Valencia, Spain: As Spain’s third-largest city, Valencia proudly showcases its thriving nightlife and rich culinary scene, flanked by quality museums and striking contemporary architecture, all nestled within a captivating historic district. Once the last bastion of the Republican Loyalist government during the Civil War, Valencia was fiercely contested throughout history. Today, the city combines daring design with a deep respect for tradition. Despite its Mediterranean location, much of Valencia’s identity is closely tied to the River Turia and the fertile surroundings. Once plagued by floods, the city's charm has considerably increased with its urban beautification initiatives, now highlighting the architectural brilliance of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. While in Valencia, a visit to the nearby Albufera Nature Park offers a rewarding day trip.

Day 8 - Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is an irresistible destination teeming with a medley of ancient and modern architecture, vibrant street life, and culinary delights. Its medieval Barri Gòtic, Art Nouveau buildings adorned with ceramic tiles and stained glass, along with evocative art and music, create a cityscape rich in sensory experiences. Key attractions include a leisurely walk along La Rambla, a discovery tour of the waterfront Barceloneta, and an architectural pilgrimage featuring Gaudí's iconic Sagrada Família. The city's lively atmosphere extends into the night with numerous tapas bars inviting locals and visitors alike to unwind over delightful Mediterranean cuisine.
